4 TIPS BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR NEXT HOME

So you found your dream home and want to buy it (cue the confetti)! Buying your dream home is a HUGE accomplishment and something everyone wants to check off their bucket list. 🏡👇

But what do you need to do before signing on the dotted line?

Check out some of my tips on what to do before buying your dream home:

1. Find out what you can afford - it seems obvious but working with a rockstar lender to make sure you can actually afford your dream home is a good idea to put you ahead in the game and know what homes to look for!

2. Find an amazing real estate agent - think of your real estate agent as a sales rep for purchasing your home. They give you all the info about the home. Their job is to know exactly what you are looking for and find the perfect home for you. Having a real estate agent that understands your needs and can find you exactly what you're looking for is SO helpful when it comes to buying your dream home.

3. Consult with a real estate attorney early on - Most people don’t think they need an attorney to purchase a home. But when you think about all the paperwork and legal factors that go into purchasing a home, a real estate attorney is a smart investment in the long run. You wouldn’t want to purchase a home and then realize you can’t put a pool in or paint the home a certain color, would you? A real estate attorney makes you aware of all the rules and regulations before purchasing!

4. Know the expenses upfront - there is nothing worse than finding out you need to pay more than you originally planned. When purchasing a home, planning is key and understanding the fees and expenses upfront can save you time and money in the long run! Don't forget the moving expenses!

Did you know any of these?! Does anything surprise you? There is a lot to consider when you want to purchase your dream home! 🏡
